620/8nm Narrow Bandpass Optical Interference filter Description
620nm Bandpass Filter Optical 8nm FWHM is a high-performance filter designed specifically for extracting 620nm optical signals
- The central wavelength is 620+/-2nm, which is suitable for the emission spectrum of Cy5, Alexa Fluor 647 dyes or the application scenarios of far-red light of LED light sources.
- The half-bandwidth is 8+/-2nm, and the narrow-band design can effectively isolate the interference of adjacent wavelengths. The transmittance in the passband is greater than or equal to 75%, which can maximize the intensity of the target light signal and reduce the power consumption of the light source.
- The cut-off depth OD5 in the range of 200-1100nm outside the passband strongly suppresses the leakage of excitation light, infrared noise and ambient stray light.

620/8nm Bandpass Filter Optical Applications
- Far-red fluorescence imaging
In far-red fluorescence labeling technology, the emission peak of Alexa Fluor 610 is around 628nm, and its signal is easily interfered by short-wavelength excitation light 532nm laser or other fluorescence channels. This leads to increased imaging background noise and affects the clarity of deep tissue imaging. . The 620/8nm narrowband filter efficiently captures far-red fluorescence signals through a 620nm central wavelength and 8nm narrow bandwidth, while completely blocking excitation light leakage and crosstalk from adjacent channels - Algae outbreak warning
The carotenoids of specific algae diatoms in water bodies have characteristic absorption peaks near 620nm, but their signals are easily masked by the fluorescence of dissolved organic matter. The 620/8nm filter can accurately match the algae absorption peak through a narrow bandpass design and exclude background signals from interferents such as humic acid. - Food safety illegal additive screening
Carmine has a characteristic absorption peak near 620nm, but the food matrix is complex, and traditional spectroscopy is easily interfered by the fluorescence of sugars or proteins. The absorption spectrum of illegal additives can be accurately identified by suppressing background noise through a narrow bandpass of 620nm. - Astronomical observation
In the study of stellar atmospheres, the observation of the absorption band of TiO molecules in the stellar atmosphere near 620nm needs to exclude interference from continuous spectra and atmospheric scattered light. The 620/8nm optical filter can isolate the target absorption line and improve the contrast of stellar atmospheric composition analysis.
