670nm Red Light Filter, specially designed for optical systems that require high-precision selective transmission of red light

  • Central wavelength 670+/-2nm, half bandwidth 8+/-2nm, only allows light in the wavelength range of 666nm to 674nm to be efficiently transmitted
  • Transmittance is greater than or equal to 75%. The cutoff depth OD5 in the range of 200-1100nm outside the passband can effectively shield the interference of ultraviolet light, visible light and infrared bands while allowing light to be efficiently transmitted, providing a better signal-to-noise ratio for the system

  1. Biomedical imaging
    In the fluorescence labeling experiment of mCherry red fluorescent protein, the excitation light source is often accompanied by ambient light and other fluorescent dye signals, which can easily cause the target signal to be masked by noise and affect the imaging resolution. The 670/8nm optical filter can accurately separate the target signal, allowing only the red fluorescent signal of 670nm±4nm to pass through, shielding other green/blue fluorescence and excitation light source residues
  2. Industrial automatic sorting system
    In the laser-guided automated sorting system, ambient light or equipment heating may interfere with the recognition accuracy of the red light sensor, resulting in missed detection of minor defects or mistaken rejection of good products. The 670/8nm narrowband filter only transmits 670nm laser, shields infrared thermal radiation and ambient stray light, and ensures that the sensor only responds to the target laser.
  3. Optogenetics experiment
    In optogenetics research, a 670nm red light wavelength is required to activate Chrimson photosensitive protein, but stray light may mistakenly trigger non-target cells, resulting in experimental data deviation. The 670/8nm interference filter can ensure that only 670nm red light acts on the target cells with its narrow bandpass characteristics, avoiding interference of other wavelengths with experimental results.
  4. Agricultural light environment regulation
    In agricultural plant factories, plant photosynthesis is sensitive to red light around 670nm, but traditional light sources have a wide spectrum, waste energy and may cause excessive growth. The 670/8nm filter can provide purified 670nm red light, directly act on chlorophyll a, and improve light energy utilization. At the same time, it filters ultraviolet and far-red light to optimize plant morphology.
