10600nm Far Infrared Longpass Filter Description
The 10600nm Far Infrared Longpass Filter produced by Coligh has a cutoff wavelength of 10600nm and has high transmittance above 10600nm, with a transmittance greater than 85%.
- We use different substrate materials according to different infrared optical systems, such as zinc selenide, silicon, etc., which have high transmittance in the infrared band.
- In addition, we use multi-layer hard dielectric films or metal-dielectric composite films (such as metal reflective layers such as gold and aluminum) to ensure high cutoff steepness and deep cutoff depth, ensuring that the cutoff depth OD>4 at 9000-12000nm.

10600nm Far Infrared Longpass Filter Applications
10600nm far-infrared long-wave pass filter is used in many fields:
- Infrared imaging and thermal imaging
Far-infrared thermal imaging relies on the object’s own radiation (8–14μm atmospheric window) and is suitable for dark or smoky environments. 10600nm infrared long-pass filter can suppress short-wave infrared noise in the environment, retain only the thermal radiation signal of the human body or equipment, and improve image contrast and resolution. - Laser processing
The operating wavelength of CO2 laser is 10.6μm. In the laser processing head, visible light or near-infrared interference is filtered out to ensure that the sensor only receives 10.6μm laser signals, which is the core light source for industrial cutting, welding and surface treatment. - Astronomical observation
In ground or space telescopes, this filter can filter out atmospheric background radiation (such as short-wave infrared) and capture far-infrared signals of deep space targets.
