Magnesium Fluoride Windows (MgF2 Windows)
Magnesium fluoride windows are a wide spectrum window covering deep ultraviolet to mid-infrared. Coligh produces high-performance large-size Dia<1000mm magnesium fluoride windows for various optical systems.
- Ultra-wide spectral transmittance 120nm-10um
- Low refractive index ~1.38 @ 0.55μm, naturally anti-reflective
- Able to withstand extreme environments such as high temperature, high humidity and vacuum
- <1000mm Various sizes and shapes can be customized
Magnesium Fluoride Optical Windows Description
We focus on producing large-size magnesium fluoride windows with a diameter of <1000mm, which can meet the needs of high-end optical systems for large-area light-transmitting components.
- The magnesium fluoride windows produced by Coligh can cover the band of 0.2um-10um and are suitable for multi-spectral fusion systems.
- Low refractive index (n=1.38@550nm): Reduce surface reflection loss and can be used in some scenarios without anti-reflection coating.
- The melting point is as high as 1255℃, with strong resistance to thermal shock; acid and alkali corrosion resistance, and can work stably for a long time in harsh environments such as humidity and salt spray.
- We support full-size coverage of 10mm-1000mm in diameter, and can process any shape such as round, square, polygon, etc., to meet the needs of non-standard optical design, and can reduce the cost of splicing and subsequent debugging.
- Large size and high-precision processing capabilities help customers achieve cutting-edge optical design and promote technological upgrades in aerospace, quantum communication, high-energy physics and other fields.

Magnesium Fluoride Optical Windows Applications
Magnesium fluoride windows have deep applications in many fields:
- High-energy lasers
As high-power laser windows, magnesium fluoride windows can withstand high temperatures >1000℃ and can be used for industrial cutting lasers
- National defense and military industry
Due to the high transmittance of magnesium fluoride in the mid-infrared of 3-5um, and its resistance to high-speed aerodynamic friction and extreme temperature shock, it can be adapted to missiles and aircraft infrared seekers
- Laser LiDAR
Low refractive index reduces surface reflection and improves the quality of laser echo signals, which is suitable for autonomous driving, topographic mapping and military reconnaissance.
- Aerospace
Super-large size (<1000mm) reduces splicing, and the ultraviolet-infrared wide spectrum captures deep space celestial body signals, supporting astronomical observation and cosmology research
- Industrial detection
Infrared thermal imagers and industrial detection equipment, it can cover short-wave infrared (SWIR) to medium-wave infrared (MWIR), which is used for chip defect detection, high-temperature furnace monitoring, and thermal fault diagnosis of power equipment.
